This morning, Class 4 visited the Royal Shakespeare Theatre's education centre to experience a morning workshop based on the play we have been studying this half term - 'The Tempest'. It was a truly fitting end to our work on Shakespeare's famous comedy and everyone enjoyed becoming actors, getting into character and performing a section of the play. The morning started with warm-ups of our body, voice and mind, as workshop leader, Hannah, put us through our paces. We were then split into groups to perform a particular line from the play, which proved great fun. Finally, we were given a longer piece of the script, which involved Caliban and Stephano talking about getting rid of Prospero. The morning ended all too soon... Thank you to our wonderful parent helpers for accompanying us and to the PTA for helping with the cost of the coach.
