Class 4's Visit to St John's Museum
The Class 4 children have had a wonderful day out at St John's Museum in Warwick! They spent their day learning about life in the Victorian Era. They had the opportunity to get hands-on in the kitchen, learning how the laundry would have been done. They were able to use the mangle, grate the soap into powder, pump the water and use dolly pegs to hang their washing to dry ! The children also had the chance to experience life as a Victorian school child. They dressed up and travelled back in time to be taught by the school mistress. The children were able to compare their morning as a Victorian school child to their experience at Ilmington School in 2019! A fantastic day was had by all. Thank you so much to our fantastic parent volunteers: Mrs Groves, Mrs Bamford, Mrs Burgess and Mr Lord.
