School Council
Each year the children elect 2 children from their year group to represent them on the School Council. This council meets regularly with the headteacher to discuss issues raised by the children and to air their views. There are opportunities to vote on some issues and any decisions are made in consultation with staff and other parties involved.
All children have the opportunity to have an input into school council meetings through their democratically elected representatives.
We have a chair and a vice chair who are chosen from year 6 to lead the School Council and help to ensure that meetings are arranged and that decisions are communicated to the wider school community. They also represent the school body at other events and whole school meetings from time to time.
The School Council, along with our house captains, is also involved in our charity fund raising events, deciding the best way to raise funds.
