Homework
Ilmington School recognises that children can benefit enormously from home learning and a range of activities are set which aim to consolidate or enhance the children’s classroom experience.
Our aim is to work with parents to promote the key behaviours of independence and resilience for children when approaching their home learning. Daily reading, maths and literacy activities are routine.
From Key Stage 2 it is anticipated that all children will undertake the activities which are set for them in English and Mathematics as well as maintaining their daily reading. These activities and practices aim to consolidate the learning taking place in lessons and ultimately prepare children for the next stage in their education.
