Year 6 Leavers' Service

The Year 6 children had a lovely send off from the whole school community. Children, staff, parents, governors and friends of the school gathered at St Mary's for a service led by Reverend Richard. 

The Year 6s were joined by the school community to sing their favourite hymns and think about their time at Ilmington School. They read out a poem that they had written then received the gift of a bible from Reverend Richard and a hoodie from the PTA. They sang a song that they had written to the tune of Don't Stop Believing with the help of Mr Kemp on the keyboard. 

After the service, the children were treated by our PTA to a delicious ice-cream from Annie's Antics! Thank you to everyone who made it so special.
