May Day Voting

It has been an exciting week at Ilmington C of E Primary School. We have been working hard to prepare for our May Day celebrations, which take place on 26.05.22. Parents are invited to come and watch us perform our country dances, sing and for the new May Queen to be crowned. 

It is tradition at our school for the children to vote for a May Queen and Town Crier each year. These are children from Year 6 who we think have demonstrated our Christian values this year. We have been learning about the British value of democracy and we casted our votes into the ballot box. When the votes were counted, we found that May will be our May Queen this year and that Will will be our Town Crier! 

We have been working hard to learn our dances and songs and we are really excited to welcome everyone on Thursday!
