Head's Welcome
"Look at what we have here in this wonderful school!"
These were the words of a former Secretary of State for Education when he joined us to bury a time capsule - words that still capture how we feel about our school today. We are immensely proud of this unique and very special place.
Nestled in the foothills of the Cotswolds, Ilmington Church of England Primary School is a wonderful environment in which to learn and grow. Our dedicated staff team and committed governing body work together to ensure that every child is supported to thrive and reach their full potential. We aim to live and learn through our Christian values of Service, Thankfulness, Compassion, Friendship, Peace, Hope, Fellowship and Reconciliation, with love and respect at the heart of everything we do.
Our school Bible verse, “For with God, nothing shall be impossible” (Luke 1:37), shapes our ethos and inspires us to foster aspiration, courage and hope in each of our children.
Working closely with our supportive families and wider community, we strive to nurture a lifelong love of learning and a deep curiosity about the world. Alongside academic development, we place great importance on wellbeing, social growth and personal character - ensuring every child feels valued, cared for and encouraged to become a confident, well-rounded individual.
As the Secretary of State said during his visit to Ilmington C of E Primary School:
"The parents here understand the value of education and what the Church of England puts into this school."
This website offers a glimpse into life at Ilmington, but the very best way to understand what makes our school so special is to come and see us in person. You will always receive a warm welcome.
