Pupil Leaders
At Ilmington School, we recognise the value and importance of pupil voice and the development of leadership skills as we are educating the leaders of tomorrow. It is important for the children at Ilmington C of E Primary School to feel that their views are taken into account and respected, particularly in decisions which affect them. This helps children to form better relationships, increases self-awareness and improves confidence. Working with other children from across the school promotes equality, diversity and inclusion. Our school has many opportunities for pupils to lead and to have a say about their life at our school.
These include:
- School Council;
- Worship Committee;
- Eco Committee;
- Mental Health Ambassadors;
- House Captains; and
- Online Safety Committee.
We learn about the British value of democracy through voting for our peers to be members of these committees.
